Stick With It.

It’s so hard sometimes to stick with something after a while. You go through phases of extreme motivation then there’s those days you just want to be a fatty and binge Netflix and eat your weight in Lays sour cream and onion potato chips (I could eat about 5 bags to be honest). You have been eating healthy and just want to say “screw it” and go on a bender of cheat meals. You have been working out for weeks and haven’t been seeing the results that you want to see and you’re getting frustrated and want to skip the gym for a week. These are the trying times that make us want to throw in the towel and give up.

Don’t give up! Stay consistent because consistency = results.

Those days that you want to cheat so bad on your diet but you resist are the days that make your willpower so much stronger and give you the confidence to stick with it. If you believe you can do it, you can do anything. The days that you want to skip the gym  because you’re sick of busting your ass with nothing to show for it are the days that you become stronger mentally and physically.

Whenever you want to quit and you refuse to give into that temptation… those are the times that your body and mind changes the most. Willpower is not something we are born with, it is learned over time and is forged through tests.

About a month ago I started a meal plan that was very hard for me to get used to. I found myself wanting to quit constantly in the first THREE DAYS. Normally I can stay motivated for at least two weeks but literally only 72 hours into it I was already thinking “I’m over this”… but I refused to give in to the voice that told me to give up. I was told to “trust the science” so damnit that was what I was going to do.

It was so worth it. I’ve already seen drastic changes already and it’s because I didn’t give up. Now I’m more motivated than ever to stick with it and stay consistent. Once you see the results that you want, consistency won’t be so difficult anymore! You just have to stick it out in the beginning because that’s the toughest part.

So don’t give up because you are worth the investment! Don’t make all those countless hours you spent working towards something count for nothing. Stay consistent and see it through until you get the results you always wanted. The relief of giving up and quitting is never going to make you feel as good as it will when you accomplish your goals.

It’s that much sweeter when you know how much hard work, time and effort you put into something when you accomplish it! Don’t give up, you’ve got this!
